AXIS

Axis:

Axis is a large, site-responsive installation created by Natasha Johns-Messenger in collaboration with Robbie Rowlands for the Strange Engine residency space in Preston. Built from mirror, steel, and wood, the massive structure measures 2.4 by 5.2 by 8 metres and is designed to alter the existing architecture of the room. By playing with angles and reflections, the piece tricks the eye and blurs the line between real and reflected space, making visitors rethink how they move through and see the room.
